Yet this is incorrect, as protein powder can be used as an ingredient for many recipes. Here are some ways you can get creative when using your protein powder.

Protein Pancakes

Time to prepare: 10 minutes

Time to cook: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 6 egg whites
  • 1 cup low-fat cottage cheese
  • 2 scoops of protein powder
  • 1 cup uncooked oats
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Vanilla extract (optional)
  • Non-stick cooking spray (1 cal spray is a good option)

Directions

  1. Beat the egg whites until fluffy.
  2. Place all the ingredients except beaten egg whites in a blender or food processor. Pulse or blend until the mixture is smooth then pour into a bowl.
  3. Fold the egg whites into the other mixture until blended well.
  4. Prepare a pan by spraying with cooking spray.
  5. Place little bits of the mixture onto the pan, make one pancake at a time. Cook until both sides are browned.

2 Minute Pudding

Time to prepare: 1 minute

Ingredients

  • 1.5 scoops of protein (works well with chocolate)
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp hot chocolate powder

Directions

1)  Put all ingredients into a mug and mix well for 1 minute.

2)  Put the mug into a microwave for 1 minute (based on a 750kw microwave).

3)  The mixture should rise, this is when you know that it is ready.

4)  Take out and enjoy!

Protein Butter Cups

Time to prepare: 10 minutes

Time to cool: 30 minutes

Serving Number: Depends on the size of the cups

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of oats
  • 5 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 scoops of chocolate protein powder
  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ½ cup of milk (skimmed is good)

Directions

1)  Mix everything except the milk into a large bowl.

2)  Little by little add the milk into the bowl and keep mixing until a thick batter is formed.

3)  Role the mixture into little balls and add them to a baking tray.

4)  Put the baking tray into the fridge for 30 minutes.

5)  Take them out and enjoy them whenever you fancy.

Protein Brownies

Time to prepare: 5 minutes

Time to cook: 10-15 minutes

Time to cool: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 75g crunchy peanut butter
  • 4 scoops of protein powder
  • 2 tbsp of cocoa powder
  • 200g of uncooked oats
  • 160g of raisins
  • 1 banana (mashed)

Directions

1)  Heat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius.

2)  Place all ingredients into a large bowl.

3)  Mix together adding a little water bit by bit until a sticky consistency is formed.

4)  Take a baking tin and grease well with butter.

5)  Place in the over for 10-15 minutes

6)  Remove from the oven and cut into squares.
